About The Position

This is a hands-on, non-production operation role responsible for the overall maintenance of all plant equipment and facilities within the specified departmental budget. The role operates under the supervision of the Plant Engineer and ensures compliance with USDA, HACCP, GMFP, and Company standards, as well as all applicable regulatory agency standards. The position also focuses on the efficient and safe working habits of all departmental employees.

Requirements

Associates Degree in Business Management or Minimum 5 years experience in Maintenance Management.
Journeyman or Accredited Certification in Machine Repair or 5 years experience in Machine repair.
Basic Computer Skills.
Ability to work with all levels of management to build a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Strong electrical background would be a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a preventative/predictive maintenance program for all plant equipment to ensure safe operation, specified uptime, and adherence to departmental budget.
Develop and maintain a maintenance/refrigeration specific safety program that promotes employee involvement.
Maintain an adequate parts inventory to ensure specified mechanical uptime within the budget.
Develop and maintain a departmental operating budget.
Develop and maintain a PSM/RPM program to O.S.H.A. standards.
Supervise, assist, coach, and counsel departmental employees to provide acceptable maintenance support.
Develop positive working relationships with suppliers to ensure plant operation within budget.
Assist Plant Engineer with project planning and implementation.
Manage contracted projects from start to finish.
Participate in HAZMAT.
