About The Position

As a Machine Loader, you will be responsible for loading and operating equipment such as, but not limited to, mills, lathes, and mill/lathe combo machines to cut, tap, and alter bar stock raw materials according to specification. This role may also assist in performing some setups. The shift for this position is 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

High school graduate/GED
Strong math skills
Proficiency in troubleshooting
Basic computer skills
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance
Able to operate CNC machines
Able to read and interpret blueprints
Able to use precision measuring instruments and gauges
Strong ability to learn new processes and techniques

Responsibilities

Complete all projects, assignments, and duties as directed and instructed.
Remain safety-conscious at all times by wearing all prescribed safety equipment and observing all safety rules.
Conform to all policies, procedures, and rules of conduct.
Comply with all quality standards.
Meet all productivity requirements and quality standards.
Load work piece/pieces manually or using assistance.
Check work to ensure that it meets the specifications set.
Read and interpret STERIS blueprints including standard tolerances and other work instruction documents.
Use required measuring instruments and gauges to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
Record production activities on computerized shop floor control system.
Additional duties as required to meet business needs.
