About The Position

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work within an international team of other machine learning engineers, data scientists and data engineers to deliver top-grade machine learning-based cloud solutions into production. We solve real-world challenges posed by SAP's customers and product units with a focus on central platform services and infrastructure. You will work with SAP’s internal ML System, build agents and leverage LLMs. SAP has some of the richest data sets available in industry.

Requirements

Strong AI/ML skills using Python, and experience using ML techniques to deliver end user industrial strength ML features, shipping to millions of users.
3+ years of AWS experience using numerous AWS Services such as S3, DynamoDB and Redshift.
3+ years of experience of shipping software in a professional software team, using GitHub and CICD pipelines.
Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (fact/dimension modeling, schema design, normalization vs denormalization).
Analytical mindset, curiosity and a drive to produce excellent solutions.
Understanding of practical and privacy concerns surrounding Data and AI development.
Familiarity with data quality frameworks, schema evolution, and metadata management.
Exposure to feature stores or ML data platforms.
Experience working with large-scale, high-volume datasets in production.
Fluency in both written and spoken English

Nice To Haves

Experience with big data frameworks (Spark, PySpark).
Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Step Functions).

Responsibilities

Explore, understand, and manage SAP Concur’s data storage systems and machine learning environments
Develop new agents that leverage LLMs, APIs and datasets, including RAG based patterns.
Work with interdisciplinary teams of developers, designers, and business experts to develop solutions with real measurable customer impact.
Help to ensure performance, reliability and ongoing improvement of our data pipelines in continuous collaboration with development teams.
Continuously improve data platform efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
