About The Position

The Apple Services Engineering Growth and Commerce Intelligence Team is looking for an extraordinary software engineer to help build next-generation machine learning intelligence features for Apple’s ground breaking devices and platforms. We are a key part of the Apple ecosystem, supporting millions of users and billions of transactions. We operate in hundreds of countries and dozens of languages. We strive to provide the best personalization experience for our customers! On our team, you will design, develop and maintain of core personalization components that serves millions of customers worldwide. You will also be responsible for bringing the latest in personalization ideas to production at a large scale. On our team, we craft new ways for customers to discover content in a rapidly growing catalog on the Apple ecosystem of devices and platforms.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field or Bachelor Degree and 2+ years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• Proficiency in distributed computing, micro-services architecture and server side technologies.
• Proficiency in building large scale machine learning infrastructure and knowledge of information retrieval & ranking algorithms.
• Experience developing machine learning solutions.
• Experience with Hadoop/Map-Reduce/Spark.
• Experience with cloud-native deployment.
• Familiarity with A/B experimentation concept and data/metric-driven product development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - working independently and/or in small teams.
• Passion for building high-quality user experiences with attention to detail.
