About The Position
Syntiant Corp. is seeking a Machine Learning Audio Intern to enhance our AI Model for Turkey Gobble Synthesis. The goal is to develop a turkey gobble detector AED model that runs on NDP chips. Due to limited available gobble data (~2K samples), the intern will leverage generative models like EcoGen, BirdDiff, Audio LDM, or Perch 2.0 to synthesize realistic turkey gobble sounds. This synthetic data will be used to train a more robust turkey gobble detector.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in AI/ML model training.
Nice To Haves
- Industry work experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Understand the model architecture of generative models.
- Run generative models locally or on the cluster.
- Fine-tune generative models on available turkey sounds.
- Synthesize real-sounding artificial turkey gobble sounds.
- Explore and pursue better alternative generative models.
