Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience, with machine operation background
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and read blueprints/instructions
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled or automated machinery
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on leader who leads by example and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Technical training a plus
- Previous leadership experience (formal or informal) preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations to meet safety, quality, and output goals
- Operate and support machinery while monitoring performance metrics (OEE, cycle times, scrap)
- Perform basic troubleshooting and machine adjustments; escalate complex issues as needed
- Lead machine setups, changeovers, and start-ups
- Coordinate workflow, assign tasks, and ensure efficient production flow
- Maintain accurate production logs and maintenance records
- Support quality checks, error-proofing systems, and compliance standards
- Drive 5S and continuous improvement initiatives on the floor
- Train, coach, and support team members to build a high-performing team
