About The Position

This role involves operating machinery, specifically a machine feeder, with a focus on ensuring the smooth operation of the printing process. The Machine Feeder Operator will be responsible for preparing materials, assisting with machine setup, maintaining supplies, and ensuring the quality and cleanliness of the work environment. Requirements

Ability to review work orders or receive verbal instructions.
Proficiency in using hand tools for press setup.
Ability to keep the press supplied with paper stock.
Ability to pour ink into reservoirs and maintain the ink agitator.
Ability to operate a pallet jack.
Attention to detail.
Ability to clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas.
Ability to perform tasks with reasonable accommodations for disabilities.

Responsibilities

Review work order or receive verbal instructions to determine ink, stock, and equipment needed for production.
Assist press operator with press setup, including hanging plates and blankets on press cylinders using hand tools.
Keep the press supplied with top-quality paper stock.
Pour ink into the reservoirs of the printing unit and maintain the ink agitator.
Remove loaded pallets of printed material from the stacking mechanism using a pallet jack and replace with an empty pallet.
Periodically assist with preventative maintenance duties.
Pay close attention to small details throughout the process.
Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
