Requirements

Good mechanical background.
Electrical knowledge a plus.
Good understanding of assembly concepts and bills of material.
Drive to seek improvements.
High School Diploma or GED.
1+ years of manufacturing experience.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to predictably and regularly attend work and to be punctual.
The ability to talk and hear.
The ability to read and understand documents and drawings.
The ability to work cooperatively with others.
The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers.
The ability to perform several tasks at once.

Responsibilities

Build sub-assemblies or segments of a larger machine assembly.
Build medium to large sized machines or portions of larger machines using a variety of power and hand tools to design specifications.
Identify and eliminate unsafe conditions in the work area.
Recommend safety improvements within the department.
Practices 5-S both in the work area.
Demonstrates mechanical/electrical skills.
Builds sub-assemblies, small, less complicated machines or portions of larger machines using a variety of power and hand tools to fasten parts together at the proper torque values, install bushings and bearings to meet the design specifications.
May be advancing skills through on-the-job training and provide coverage as trained for Machine Builder III positions.
Consistently focuses on accurate labor and job card reporting.
May be assigned to support with material handing duties.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and required hygiene protocols during all machining and production activities.
Identify and promptly report any non-conforming materials, process deviations, or product defects to the Supervisor or Quality team.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards and safety requirements.
Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to support a safe working environment.
