About The Position

Primary function of the role will be to support the design and implementation of custom automation systems, robotics cells as well as support other Linamar facilities when required.

Requirements

• Certificate of Qualifications or Certificate as a Millwright 433A or a related field.
• Two or more years of experience.
• Good mechanical aptitude and dexterity.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings including pneumatics/hydraulic schematics, BOM’s and all related assembly drawings.
• Ability to build, troubleshoot, and service automated equipment.
• Proficient with computers and ability to learn quickly (Solidworks, AutoCAD, Office, etc.).

• Ability to supervise and train apprentices and maintenance personnel.
• Ability to work all rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain maintenance standards and develop and recommend maintenance programs.
• Install new equipment using outside services if required.
• Maintain the equipment and facility through preventive/predictive maintenance program.
• Consults the work orders and personal logbook for jobs to be completed.
• Keep equipment and facility in working condition for maximum uptime.
