About The Position

Timesavers LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Builder to assemble high-quality industrial sanding and finishing equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, can accurately interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation, and takes pride in building precision machinery that meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. This position works closely with Engineering, Electrical Assembly, and Quality teams to ensure machines are built correctly, tested thoroughly, and delivered on schedule.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical assembly or machine building experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using standard hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building custom industrial machinery.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Lean Manufacturing or 6S experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble industrial machinery according to engineering drawings, bills of material (BOMs), and work instructions.
  • Install mechanical components including bearings, shafts, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, pneumatic systems, and other machine assemblies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and assembly schematics.
  • Perform precision alignment and fitting of machine components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers, tape measures, levels, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical assembly issues while maintaining quality standards.
  • Perform machine testing, adjustments, and troubleshooting before final inspection.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering and Electrical Assembly to resolve design or production issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures.
  • Document completed work and report any quality concerns or discrepancies.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
