About The Position

The Machine Builder Level 3 is a mid-level individual contributor who owns larger subsystems and complete machines with modest oversight. The role contributes to mechanical debugging, supports FAT/SAT activities, informally mentors newer builders, and works directly with engineering and project management to resolve build issues and protect schedules. The position also provides installation support at customer sites and reports directly to the Build Manager. The role involves building machines from prints and bills of materials, troubleshooting and documenting mechanical issues, maintaining build records, and safely operating standard shop equipment. Travel to customer sites is approximately 20% of the time, in waves, and may include domestic and international destinations such as Mexico. Builders use their own tools and toolboxes; hand tools, specialty tools, and shop equipment are provided by Axis. The wage range is $25.00–$30.00 per hour. Additional compensation includes overtime pay and travel pay. Axis offers a comprehensive benefits package with no waiting period; specific benefits are not listed.
