About The Position

The Machine Attendant – Heavy supports daily production by trimming, inspecting, stamping, assembling, and preparing plastic products, including tubs, totes, waste containers, and related molded parts. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring strong attention to detail, safe work habits, and the ability to keep pace with machine cycles and production requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Prior injection molding experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Trim flash and remove sprue from molded parts according to quality standards.
  • Hot stamp, imprint, assemble, and finish products based on customer order specifications.
  • Inspect parts throughout the shift to ensure products meet quality requirements.
  • Document inspections on the In-Process Inspection Log every 30 minutes, or as directed.
  • Assist with first-piece inspections and notify the Supervisor or Lead of any non-conforming product or production concerns.
  • Make required adjustments in the Plantstar System to account for rejects or production activity, as instructed.
  • Complete all required documentation and product control processes accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
  • Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Assist with training new employees as needed.
  • Demonstrate regular, reliable attendance and punctuality, including being prepared to begin work at the scheduled start time and limiting unscheduled absences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business and production needs.
