About The Position
Opus Packaging is seeking a Machine Assistant for its Jackson, Michigan location. The role produces corrugated or chip packaging products for customers while supporting the company’s vision, mission, and core values. The schedule is 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday. Work may involve machine setup and operation, plant data entry, handwork, or assembly assignments.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
- Ability to work safely.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a warehouse or packaging environment.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to properly use and understand measurement equipment, including tape measures, micrometers, and other tools required for specific jobs.
