About The Position

Hollister Whitney, a part of Vantage Elevation, LLC, is seeking full-time Machine Assemblers due to continued growth. They offer new, competitive wages and are North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units and supplies almost all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. Founded in 1899, the Vantage group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.

Requirements

• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Must be willing to be cross trained
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)

Nice To Haves

• Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate)

Responsibilities

• Build hardware kits and assemblies per work orders.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Lift and move parts as needed (<50 lbs).
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Be open to change and consistent improvement of processes.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Other duties as required.
