About The Position
Novolex is seeking a Machine Assembly Sheet Metal professional to join their team in Cedar Rapids. This role involves assembling large commercial consumer packaging equipment, including subassemblies and piece parts. Responsibilities may include connecting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic parts and testing them for correct operation. The available shift is Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, in a climate-controlled environment. The pay rate starts at a minimum of $28.94 and increases with tenure.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 year A.A.S Degree – Industrial Maintenance Technology, or 2-5 years’ experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance or assembling capital equipment in a manufacturing environment, preferred
- WorkKeys Certification: National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Certificate Level or higher), preferred
Responsibilities
- Assemble large commercial consumer packaging equipment.
- Assemble subassemblies as well as piece parts positioned in the frame of machine.
- Connect electrical wires, mechanical, and pneumatic parts as required.
- Perform established testing of those parts for correct operation.
