About The Position

Mitchell Plastics is seeking a Machine/Assembly Operator to join its production team. The role supports the manufacture of automotive interior plastic parts by operating molding and assembly machines or performing manual assembly tasks. The operator helps maintain product quality, efficiency, safety, and consistency in a fast-paced production environment, and coordinates with team members across shifts for smooth handovers. The position is on the night shift, from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately.
• Ability to identify basic molding defects such as sink marks or flash.
• Comfort working with forms, tags, and labels as part of daily tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Kanban systems and labeling processes, or willingness to learn.
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, quality and environmental procedures related to the role.

Responsibilities

• Operate molding and assembly machines, or perform manual assembly tasks, with a focus on safety and productivity.
• Take ownership of the quality of products produced at the workstation.
• Collaborate with team members across shifts to ensure smooth and efficient transitions.
• Review and follow workstation instructions to maintain consistency and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Arrive a few minutes before the shift to support seamless handovers.
