About The Position

The Machine Assembler will fasten and install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies, using hand tools, rivet guns, and welding equipment. They will inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer specifications. The role involves laying out and drilling, reaming, tapping, or cutting parts for assembly, and positioning and aligning components for assembly manually or using cranes. Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and specification manuals is crucial. Responsibilities also include removing rough spots and smoothing surfaces to fit, trim, or clean parts, using hand tools and power tools, as well as reworking, repairing, and replacing damaged parts or assemblies. Setting and verifying parts clearances, verifying conformance of parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers, and maintaining and lubricating parts and components are also key duties. The assembler must comply with all Butech Bliss safety rules and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must possess his/her own tools.
  • Problem analysis and solving skills that display an attention to detail.
  • Must be dependable and able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime.
  • If required as part of the job, the individual must meet the specific requirements for cab crane operation as outlined on the Cab Crane job description addendum.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to work at varying heights to assemble machinery.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, push and pull.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in large complex machine assembly.
  • Experience with overhead cranes and hoists.
  • Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
  • Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities
