About The Position

The MAC Systems Specialist is responsible for leading the design, implementation, support, and optimization of Apple macOS environments across Scarlett Group’s client base. This role serves as the internal and client-facing authority on Apple device management, security, and integration within predominantly Microsoft-based environments. The MAC Systems Specialist acts as a technical lead, supporting escalations, guiding best practices, and ensuring consistent, scalable solutions that align with client needs and Scarlett Group standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting macOS environments in a business or MSP setting
  • Strong expertise in Apple ecosystem, including macOS, iOS, and Apple hardware
  • Hands-on experience with MDM tools such as Jamf, Microsoft Intune, or similar
  • Experience integrating macOS devices with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and identity management solutions
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and endpoint management principles
  • Experience in a managed services environment supporting SMB to mid-market clients preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex technical environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work directly with clients

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Apple Certified Support Professional, Jamf certifications, Microsoft certifications)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical expert for macOS, Apple hardware, and Apple ecosystem technologies
  • Design, implement, and support macOS environments in business and MSP settings
  • Lead deployment and management of Apple devices using MDM platforms (e.g., Jamf, Intune, or equivalent)
  • Integrate macOS systems into Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and hybrid identity environments
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex Apple-related issues
  • Support and guide Helpdesk and Tier 2 teams on macOS-related incidents and service requests
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices for Apple environments
  • Act as a client-facing resource, clearly communicating technical concepts and recommendations in business-friendly terms
  • Participate in solution design, onboarding, and project implementations involving Apple infrastructure
  • Ensure all solutions align with security best practices, compliance requirements, and Scarlett Group standards
  • Maintain awareness of emerging Apple technologies and recommend improvements to client environments
  • Collaborate with engineering, vCIO, and service teams to deliver consistent and scalable solutions
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to service delivery optimization
