About The Position

Come join a dedicated team of Hardware Validation Engineering (HVE) Program Managers! We are responsible for ensuring Mac products go through meticulous testing and validation throughout the development cycle. Our mission is to ensure new features and hardware are fully vetted prior to reaching customers’ hands in order to provide the best user experience. We're looking for someone who is passionate about contributing to the creation of products customers love, is experienced in system validation and is keen to understanding and driving issues to closure. A snippet of our team, we are responsible for providing end-to-end validation, testing major system features and ensuring they meet validation criteria prior to production. In this role, you will need to understand the risk and complexity of new hardware and software features and work with teams to complete validation plans. You will lead engineering teams to not only test but partner with engineering domain experts to develop mitigation paths forward, and clearly communicate validation status, top issues, and customer concerns to the project core team, along with senior leadership. Drive daily deliverables, track critical validation metrics and work with engineering teams to point out high risk issues and drive those issues to closure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high risk hardware and features that need extensive validation Be the central point of contact to ensure Silicon validation is achieved in system Effectively communicate validation status, critical system issues and critical validation status for production recommendation Always looking to improve current processes and contribute to the team and larger organization

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering required, Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Additional experience with consumer electronics or electrical engineering
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in Program Management or Hardware Engineering and engaging in multiple different teams
  • Directly led product development cycles of Hardware Validation
  • Leadership skills and ability to engage and drive issues with collaborators
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities
  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant change; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty
