About The Position

Truluck's - Ocean's Finest Seafood - is currently interviewing Maître D candidates for our Downtown Austin location. The Maître D position is an extension of the leadership team. We are looking for that sophisticated, experienced, high-end hospitality professional that knows how to make every guest feel significant. This individual will support and lead a talented host team as we make the very first and last impression of an unforgettable dining experience, the very best it can be.

Requirements

Polite, hospitable, and enthusiastic
Communicate well with guests and co-workers.

Multitasking champion
Experience as a Maître D' with upscale concepts.
Must be able to stand for 9 hours.
Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds.
Ability to perform all job functions while wearing the specified uniform/footwear.
Clear and accurate communication.
Command of the English language.
Basic computer skills.
Action-orientated towards guest requests.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with OpenTable is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform host stand set-up, running side work and closing duties.
Displays Southern Hospitality.
Be the positive and uplifting first and last impression for guests.
Greeting and seat guests in an organized, professional, and friendly fashion.
Properly record reservations and quote wait periods.
Maintain cleanliness of front entry way.
Assist in table maintenance when able.
Stay current with all upcoming promotional events.
Always friendly and courteous and communicates all guest requests/special occasions to server and or Leader on Duty.
Always maintain clean and professional appearance.
Work with “Teamwork” always in mind.
Perform other related duties as an extension of the Leadership Team.
