About The Position
The MA Therapist - Reg Intern at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients under supervision, with the goal of enhancing their mental health and well-being. The role involves working closely with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality care and support to individuals facing various psychological challenges.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a recognized internship program in a clinical setting.
- Experience working with diverse populations in a therapeutic environment.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices and principles.
- Experience in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and providing therapeutic interventions.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of clients.
- Monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic interventions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with organizational policies and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to enhance professional development.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health therapy and incorporate evidence-based practices into treatment.
- Assist in the development of community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness.
