About The Position

Altera is seeking an M365 Conferencing Engineer to design and manage the company's audio, video, and unified communications infrastructure including Microsoft Teams Rooms. This role ensures high-quality meeting experiences across semiconductor office, lab, and manufacturing sites, supporting both in-room and hybrid collaboration. The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance. Requirements

• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Microsoft Teams Rooms (Windows and Android MTR).
• Strong knowledge of Teams Audio Conferencing, Phone System, and Direct Routing configuration.
• Experience with Teams meeting policies, bandwidth management, and quality management tools (CQD).
• Familiarity with enterprise AV equipment including Crestron, Logitech, Poly, and Yealink solutions.
• Knowledge of SIP trunking, PSTN connectivity, and telephony integration patterns.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Admin Center and PowerShell for Teams administration.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting large-scale conference room deployments across multi-site global environments.
• Familiarity with Cisco Webex Rooms or Zoom Rooms as alternative conferencing platforms.
• Knowledge of Teams Rooms Pro Management and remote device health monitoring.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) systems across all company sites.
• Administer Teams Audio Conferencing, calling plans, Direct Routing, and telephony integrations.
• Manage Teams meeting room hardware including room consoles, cameras, microphones, and displays.
• Implement and maintain Pro Management portal monitoring for Teams Rooms device health.
• Coordinate with AV vendors and facilities teams for conference room design and equipment installation.
• Troubleshoot audio/video quality issues, meeting connectivity problems, and hardware failures.
• Define and enforce meeting room standards, naming conventions, and provisioning processes.
• Support hybrid meeting best practices and enable equitable collaboration for distributed teams.
