About The Position

Sequence is a permanent holding company focused on acquiring and transforming businesses in the American service economy, leveraging AI and technology to improve operations and customer service. This role involves finding, evaluating, and closing acquisitions, and then actively participating in the post-acquisition transformation of these businesses. Unlike traditional investing roles, there is no exit timeline, and the focus is on long-term value creation and operational improvement. The position offers significant autonomy, with direct interaction with decision-makers and the opportunity to shape the company's M&A strategy. The work involves sourcing proprietary opportunities, building relationships with founders and owners, underwriting businesses, leading diligence, and driving transactions. Post-acquisition, the role includes shaping operating models, working with management, and integrating Sequence's technology platform.
