As a Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Finance Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Preparing high-quality financial deliverables for sell-side (divestitures) and buy-side (acquisition) diligence projects, including quality of earnings, carve-out financial statements, net working capital, debt and debt-like and other deal schedules, stand-alone cost analysis and virtual data room deliverables. Engaging with third-party diligence advisors to ensure a properly scoped and accurate Quality of Earnings/Financial Due Diligence report. Communicating results of financial diligence to Business Group, Division, Business Finance, Enterprise Supply Chain, and Corporate Finance Leadership. Collaborating with Corporate Development, Integration & Transition Management and Business Strategy to understand the scope and strategic impact to 3M for each contemplated transaction. Estimating and analyzing stranded costs and impacts to corporate earnings per share. Partnering with Controllers to ensure a successful transition of post-close deal accounting and purchase price schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of combined experience in accounting and/or finance in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing finance business counsel in finance or financial due diligence department of a corporation, or investment banking.
  • Experience with project management and/or project leadership and/or Experience with mergers and acquisition-related integrations
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification
  • MBA from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Experience using Alteryx to drive process improvement and automation
