About The Position

The M&A Analyst supports the full deal lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluation to due diligence and transaction execution. This role is critical to driving strategic growth through acquisitions and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate development, or related roles preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of M&A processes.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Business acumen and interest in strategic growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

  • AI Enablement & Process Optimization Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools, automation, and data analytics to streamline M&A processes.
  • Support implementation of AI-assisted workflows for pipeline tracking, financial modeling, document review, and diligence management.
  • Develop best practices for integrating AI tools while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity.
  • Pipeline Development & Market Research Maintain and update the internal M&A pipeline.
  • Conduct industry research, competitive analysis, and market sizing to identify potential acquisition targets.
  • Deal Evaluation & Analysis Perform financial, operational, and strategic analyses of potential targets.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, LBO, scenario analyses).
  • Prepare valuation materials and investment theses.
  • Due Diligence Coordinate cross-functional due diligence with internal teams and external advisors (legal, finance, tax, operations, HR, IT, etc.).
  • Analyze financial statements, contracts, labor data, fleet data, and other risk areas.
  • Compile findings into executive-ready reports and recommendations.
  • Transaction Execution Assist in preparing closing statements and related documentation.
  • Additional Responsibilities Contribute to cross-departmental projects as assigned.
  • Travel to acquisition targets and company locations as needed.
