Lymphedema Therapist - Outpatient Rehab
About The Position
Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is seeking a CLT-LANA certified Lymphedema Occupational Therapist for their outpatient clinic in Farmington, CT. This role is part of an integrated healthcare system, offering opportunities to collaborate with physicians, mid-level practitioners, and other therapists in treating patients with lymphedema. The therapist will evaluate patients, develop care plans, and provide specialized treatments including manual lymph drainage, multi-layer bandaging, and compression garment application. Patient and caregiver education for home programs, including exercise plans and skin care, is also a key component of this role.
Requirements
- Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current State of CT Occupational Therapy license required or active temporary license at time of hire
- CLT-LANA Certification
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient with lymphedema and create Plan of Care
- Demonstrate competence in manual lymph drainage, multi-layer bandaging, compression garment selection and application
- Provide patient and/or caregiver training for home program including MLD, bandaging as needed, application of compression garments, and skin care
- Provide appropriate and safe exercise plan for patient with lymphedema, with modifications to functional ability
