About The Position

Sanctuary Treatment Center is currently looking for a part time LVN for 12 hour day shifts at our detox and residential facility! The LVN is responsible for providing a variety of nursing services that focus on prevention, education, and treatment of the physical and mental health of clients. The LVN works collaboratively as a member of the treatment team to develop and implement effective treatment strategies. Availability, we are currently looking for: 12 hr shifts: 11am-11:30pm Wednesday & Friday (part time) Additional shifts offered as needed

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • LVN licensure required.
  • Possession of a valid license/certificate of registration issued by the California Board of Nursing Education and Nurse registration is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.
  • Clean driving record and current first aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a detox/substance use facility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with client self-administration of medication and records/monitors vital signs.
  • Conducts initial intake assessments and evaluations, including detox protocols.
  • Ensures accurate documentation of medication and lab orders
  • Observes and reports changes in client conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and takes any necessary action
  • Responsible for the management and organization of medication room, including supply inventory and equipment compliance.
  • Evaluates medical concerns and directs clients to emergency medical care when required.
  • Works with the treatment team and physicians to assess client needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions.
  • Reviews medication logs, conducts medication counts and requests refills as needed.
  • Provides support, monitoring and supervision of clients to assist non-clinical staff.
  • Performs breathalyzer analysis and monitors urine test samples from client.
