About The Position

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited vocational school of nursing and current Texas LVN license required.
Knowledgeable of human development, including the processes of aging, and of social and health problems confronting older persons.
Models MRC's ICARE Values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
Ability to recognize behavior deviations from the norm; to cope with all emergencies in a calm manner and to deal comfortably with chronically ill aged.
Ability to communicate professionally, respectfully and tactfully in all situations.

Nice To Haves

Training or experience in geriatric, psychiatric or medical/surgical nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate activities of aides
Perform basic daily nursing functions
Administer proper medications
Provide the nursing needs of our residents in an efficient, economical, and caring manner, while maintaining high standards and quality care
