About The Position

The Treatment Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides focused nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting, emphasizing skin treatments, wound care, injury management, and assigned treatment procedures under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. This role observes and monitors residents’ skin integrity, performs ordered treatments, ensures accurate documentation, and promptly reports changes in condition. Serving as a designated treatment resource, the LVN supports care plan implementation, collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely care delivery, and may provide guidance to staff on treatment-related processes and standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
  • Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing School program OR become licensed by equivalency required
  • 1 year of nursing experience required
  • LVN - Current State of California Licensed Vocational Nurse License required
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wound care preferred
  • Long-term care nursing experience preferred
  • Wound Care Certification preferred
