About The Position

In this role, you will oversee all nursing and clinical services for the practice, combining hands-on patient care with leadership and operational responsibility. You will provide direct nursing care while coordinating clinic operations, managing patient flow, and supervising nursing and supplemental staff to ensure safe, high-quality care. You will work closely with faculty, residents, patients, and multidisciplinary teams to support efficient clinic operations and maximize the patient experience.

Requirements

  • Active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification.
  • Active BLS Card from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • 3+ years LVN experience.
  • Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed.
  • Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician.
  • Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems.
  • Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers.
  • Performs phlebotomy, CPR, Injections, and other skills within scope of practice.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Windows computer function, computer navigation, and ability to use computerized patient care systems.
  • Knowledge of all safety requirements when handling biohazardous specimens or contaminated instruments.
  • Verbal skills to effectively convey sensitive information in a courteous manner in person or on the telephone.
  • Ability to lead a team with effective communication, collaboration and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members, faculty, patients, nursing staff and others.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Team building and leadership skills, preferably to include prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assigning and coordinating staff duties in accordance with established protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Supervising nursing staff, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Adjusting daily staffing to meet operational needs.
  • Leading performance evaluations.
  • Maintaining annual staff competencies.
  • Providing training and onboarding for new and existing team members.
  • Overseeing the Quality Assurance process.
  • Reviewing staff timesheets for accuracy.
  • Ensuring the ongoing maintenance and readiness of the practice.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $37.60-$78.35/hourly
