About The Position

South Plains Rural Health Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) for its outpatient clinic team. The nurse works closely with providers and other clinical staff to coordinate and deliver quality, patient-centered care. The position is full-time and located in Lamesa, Texas. Employees must comply with the organization’s annual influenza vaccination policy. They must provide proof of influenza vaccination or submit a medical or religious exemption form and wear a face mask during flu season. Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Texas LVN or RN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification, or ability to obtain it as required.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Compliance with the annual influenza vaccination policy, either by providing proof of vaccination or submitting a medical/religious exemption form and wearing a face mask during flu season.

Nice To Haves

• Previous outpatient, primary care, or clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and obtain appropriate clinical information.
• Perform and document nursing care within the scope of licensure.
• Administer medications, injections, and treatments as ordered and permitted by licensure.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions.
• Review and respond to patient needs and clinical communications.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Coordinate care with providers and other members of the healthcare team.
• Follow infection control, medication safety, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
• Perform additional nursing responsibilities within the scope of LVN or RN licensure.

Benefits
