About The Position

Works under the supervision of a RN or clinic provider, in the patient care area. Performs a variety of established and approved nursing procedures. This position is represented by RCHEA. Clinic/Medical Office experience preferred. Graduate of an accredited LVN program. Current California LVN license. Current CPR Certification. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will occasionally pull, lift, transfer, or push a patient side to side, to a sitting position, to a standing position, or laterally. The employee must demonstrate a pull lift of 50 pounds from the floor. Category 1 for potential exposure to blood/body fluids. (Requires the performance of procedures or other tasks in the work routine that involve an inherent potential for mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashes of them. Protective measures should be used while engaged in Category 1 tasks with exposure potential.) Administers medicines following established policies, including patient observation. Assists in the development of a prioritized interdisciplinary plan of care. Follows established policies for the administration of narcotics. Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies. Performs admission intake and ongoing monitoring based on clinic specific policy and procedures. Willingly performs other duties and innovations as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited LVN program
  • Current California LVN license
  • Current CPR Certification
