About The Position

Hinds LifeCare, a well-respected nonprofit agency in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in hospice and palliative care, is seeking an after-hours Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their team. The LVN, under the direction of the Clinical Manager or a registered nurse, will provide direct patient care to patients in their home as needed. Requirements

  • Completion of a Licensed Vocational Nursing Education Program.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with health team personnel.
  • Current LVN license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Recent physical and TB test.
  • Tdap, MMR, Varicella, HepB immunizations.
  • Valid CA driver's license.
  • Willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment.
  • Proof of automobile insurance.
  • Proof of current auto registration.
  • Acceptable driving record (no more than 3 points within a 36-month period).
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e., Push, Pull, Lift/Carry 35 lbs.).
  • Available to work Thursday - Monday, 3:30PM-12:00AM.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of hospice experience.

Responsibilities
