About The Position
Liberty Healthcare is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) for its mental health program in San Diego County. The program operates within multiple jail facilities and provides rapid mental health services to help people achieve improved behavioral health outcomes. The position provides direct care to jail inmates, administers IV and oral medications, provides health education, observes and documents health status, collaborates with security staff, and helps ensure clients receive high-quality health services. The employee splits work onsite between the Rock Mountain Detention Facility in San Diego and the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility in Santee. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pay is $33.00–$39.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
Requirements
- Be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT).
- Have experience supporting people who are experiencing mental illness.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to jail inmates.
