About The Position
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) provides recovery focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the physician. Provides safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care. Tranquil Springs CRT is a 15-bed program in Indio, California serving community members ages 18 years or older who have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness or are experiencing a mental health crisis. Tranquil Springs CRT is a short-term, voluntary 15-bed crisis residential program that expands the menu of crisis services available in the county, and helps reduce the use of involuntary treatment. The county’s goal is to help people manage crises in the least restrictive manner possible, with a significant focus on recovery supports and principles. The typical length of stay is 12 days.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) /Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) program and current licensure
- Current CPR/BLS certificate
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be CPR, First Aid, and CPI certified (hands-on course) on date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintain current certification throughout employment
- All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply.
- Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.

- Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
