About The Position

LVN/LPN position on a 41-bed short-term rehabilitation unit. The unit specializes in wound care and cares for patients recovering from orthopedic and cardiac procedures, as well as patients with wounds, hypertension, congestive heart failure, and renal failure. Care may involve wound vacs, IVs, PICC lines, and nephrostomy care. The role may float based on facility needs. Weekend coverage is every other weekend. Patient ratios are 1:8 on days, 1:20 on nights, and 1:10 on weekends. Prior experience with a 1:10 patient ratio is required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience.
• Experience with a 1:10 patient ratio.
• Current BLS certification.
• EPIC experience or familiarity is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a short-term rehabilitation unit.
• Care for patients with orthopedic and cardiac procedure recovery needs, wounds, hypertension, congestive heart failure, and renal failure.
• Provide care involving wound vacs, IVs, PICC lines, and nephrostomies.
• Float as needed based on facility needs.
• Work every other weekend.
