About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled LVN/LPN to join a Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) Telemetry unit. This is a dynamic overflow unit designed to support patient care demands, particularly for patients transitioning from the Emergency Department. The role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Active LVN/LPN License
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg or similar setting
• Current BLS Certification
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC required)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Monitor and document patient conditions, including vital signs and glucose levels
• Assist with feeding tube care, NG/G-tube management, and Foley catheter insertions
• Administer medications via oral, IM, and subcutaneous routes
• Support oxygen therapy (nasal cannula, face masks) and basic respiratory care
• Perform patient hygiene tasks including bathing, oral care, and ambulation assistance
• Communicate changes in patient condition to RN/MD promptly
• Follow infection control protocols and isolation precautions
• Participate in patient admissions and care coordination
