About The Position

Supports the delivery of services by performing clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or designated medical provider. Assists with health screenings, immunizations, documentation, education and follow-up activities to promote a safe and healthy work environment and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent
  • Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
  • Current Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in the state of practice
  • AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS or AHA-CPR or ARC-CPR

Responsibilities

  • Conducts routine health screenings in accordance with established protocols.
  • Administers immunizations and medications per standing orders and scope of practice, documenting accurately in the employee health record.
  • Assists with new hire evaluations and annual health assessments, including reviewing medical history forms and gathering required documentation.
  • Supports contact tracing, follow-up, and documentation for exposures to communicable diseases.
  • Provides first aid and initial response for minor work-related injuries or illnesses and refers to higher-level care as needed.
  • Assists with tracking and maintaining compliance with employee immunization and surveillance requirements, including data entry and reporting.
  • Communicates clearly and respectfully with employees regarding test results, follow-up instructions, and wellness initiatives.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies.
  • Stocks and maintains medical supplies and equipment used in the employee health office.
  • Participates in quality improvement, safety, and infection prevention activities as directed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
