Requirements

  • Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of California
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an emergency, urgent care, or outpatient clinic setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Women’s Health, Labor & Delivery, or OB triage/OBED
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record platform, or equivalent.
  • Fetal monitoring experience or exposure (e.g., assisting with EFM, recognizing basic patterns)
  • Knowledge of common obstetric emergencies and conditions
  • Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to outpatient obstetric patients within LVN scope of practice under RN/provider supervision, including but not limited to: vital signs, application of fetal monitors, patient intake and documentation, phlebotomy, IV starts, specimen collection, point of care testing, medication administration, and patient education.
  • Collaborate with and support the interdisciplinary teams including RNs, physicians, midwives, and ancillary staff
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Support unit operations, including stocking supplies and maintaining a safe, organized environment
