About The Position

Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, is a leader in power distribution and protection systems, specializing in relay and control panels, medium-voltage switchgear, and enclosures. The LV Switchgear Assembler assembles fabricated metal parts for switchgear cabinets according to specifications. The role is based in Fontana, California, and reports to the Production Manager. The position may support Axiom if Flex's planned spin-off of its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment occurs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
2–4 years of related experience in an assembly or manufacturing setting.
Prior experience operating powered equipment such as a forklift, reach truck, scissors lift, or overhead crane.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately.
Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management.
Ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, wiring drawings, schematics, and engineering diagrams.
Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.
Basic understanding of tools, such as a tape measure and impact drill.
Demonstrated proficiency and ability to safely operate powered equipment such as a forklift, reach truck, scissors lift, or overhead crane.

Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and follow blueprints, diagrams, drawings, procedures, and work instructions to complete assemblies for enclosure buildings.
Mechanically assemble components for switchgear cabinets.
Use power tools and hand tools, including drills, impact drivers, screwdrivers, and grinders, to complete assigned tasks.
Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm assembled products meet specifications and quality standards.
Identify product defects and record and report them.
Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and parts at the workstation.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
