About The Position

Braswell & Son is a family-owned luxury pawnbroker with eight stores across Arkansas and Tennessee, specializing in fine jewelry, watches, and designer handbags. The Markham location serves discerning clients who may be purchasing gifts or seeking cash loans against valuable items, requiring the same level of care, discretion, and expertise for all. This role involves engaging with clients, selling luxury goods, understanding their needs, writing collateral loans with clear explanations, inspecting and authenticating items, maintaining accurate transaction records, building a loyal client base, and ensuring strict adherence to privacy and compliance regulations.

Requirements

Experience selling luxury goods — fine jewelry, watches, or designer handbags. Luxury retail, jewelry retail, or high-end resale backgrounds are a strong fit.
Comfort talking about money. You can discuss a client's financial situation with warmth and zero judgment.
Real relationship skills. Your best clients ask for you.
A record of staying and growing. We look for two or more years in a recent role.
Strong attention to detail. Here, a small mistake is an expensive mistake.
Honesty you can point to. We are trusted with people's valuables and their private information.
At least 18 years old
Must pass a background check that meets Company standards and applicable law
Must complete all required pawn licensing and compliance training
Able to stand and walk for most of a shift
Able to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds, with help for larger items. Reasonable accommodations are available.
Comfortable with a computer, a point-of-sale system, and testing equipment

Sell fine jewelry, watches, and designer handbags. Know the brands. Know the details.
Ask good questions so you understand what each client actually needs.
Write collateral loans with care. Explain the amount, the fees, and the due date in plain language.
Inspect and test every item. Verify metals, stones, movements, and authenticity using our approved methods.
Keep every transaction accurate in our system.
Build a client list that comes back to you by name.
Protect our clients' privacy at all times.
Follow all pawn compliance, ID verification, and anti-money-laundering steps, every time.
