Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Authorized to work in the USA for any employer
  • All applicants must have a current and valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and must be insurable under our garage-keepers policy standards
  • Basic communication, problem-solving, and mathematical skills using American units of measure

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Flexibility to train associates familiar with other brands, including: BMW, Lexus, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Selling new and pre-owned vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers.
  • Delighting customers and providing service after-the-sale to ensure High Manufacturer CSI customer satisfaction survey scores and positive social media reviews.
  • Following up on all sales leads from a variety of sources including phone, walk-ins, internet, etc.
  • Maintaining all prospect and customer interactions on CRM system.
  • Following the established dealership sales processes.
  • Keeping abreast of vehicles' features, conditions, and warranty status of new & used vehicle makes and models, trim levels, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers.
  • Keeping abreast of current and incoming inventory.
  • Demonstrating new and pre-owned vehicles (includes test drives).
  • Delivering vehicles to customers to ensure they understand the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork.
  • Introducing customers to the service department and working with the service department to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Knowing and understanding equity and values, and being able to explain depreciation to the customer.
  • Knowing and understanding the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales.
  • Abiding by company policy and departmental best practices and procedures and performing other duties as assigned.
