About The Position

The School District of Washington is currently seeking a Lunch Monitor at Washington Middle School for the 2026/2027 School Year. This position is part-time (approximately 2 to 2.5 hours per day) option for 5 days a week. The pay rate for this position is $15.00 per hour. Lunch Monitors are responsible for supervising students during the lunch shift. This includes classes while at lunch in the cafeteria and while at lunch recess.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or higher
• Satisfactory completion of Background Checks standard for school volunteers and school employees
• Satisfactory completion of required training standard for school employees
• All employees of the District are expected to adhere to the policies and regulations of the Board of Education, maintain appropriate certification and competencies necessary for the position, complete required training annually, and demonstrate the values of the District at all times.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria, in designated recess areas, and hallways.
• Provide various assistance to students based on individual needs.
• Report accidents, events, and/or other incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain regular attendance as it aligns to the scope of this position.
• Additional duties necessary for special events, or to assist in an emergency situation.
• Participate in professional development activities and/or training as required or needed for this position.
