About The Position

Waters Edge Lodge is seeking a dedicated Server/Wait Staff to join our team for the lunch and dinner shifts. This full-time position offers an hourly wage of $18.75, paid bi-weekly, and is based in Alameda, CA. We schedule on a 4-days on, 2-days off rotation. As a key member of our dining team, you will play an essential role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our residents and guests.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with individuals of diverse personalities and backgrounds.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak clearly and audibly, especially when interacting with elders who may have hearing challenges.
  • Patience and understanding when working with individuals experiencing cognitive impairments.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull up to 75 pounds over a distance of 100 feet.
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination and willingness to undergo routine COVID testing.
  • Completion of a physical exam, TB test, and fingerprint clearance from the FBI and Department of Justice.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with fellow wait staff to provide seamless service.
  • Prepare and maintain the dining area to ensure it is clean and welcoming, including setting tables and arranging centerpieces with care.
  • Warmly greet residents and guests as they are seated, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
  • Present menus, thoughtfully explain dining options, and address any questions regarding the menu.
  • Accurately take and deliver food orders, carefully adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences of residents.
  • Guide and support the dinner wait staff in completing side tasks and ensuring a smooth turnover of the dining space.
