About The Position

The Yay Company Lunch Coordinator (MSR) is responsible for ensuring lunchtime runs smoothly and positively for K-12 students. This role involves distributing fresh, healthy meals, managing the grab-and-go display, and being a friendly, reliable presence for students and school staff. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is punctual, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Reliable, punctual, and easy to work with.
• Genuinely enjoys being around children.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Available 2–3 hours a day, typically 10:30 AM–12:30 PM, Monday–Friday.
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and be a team player.
• Positive attitude and genuine interest in healthy food for children.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 14 days).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and any additional school-required certifications.
• Possession of a smartphone for job-related communication.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Distribute fresh lunches to students and maintain a smooth and positive lunchtime flow.
• Engage with students, school staff, and parents with a warm and genuine attitude.
• Support student checkout processes.
• Manage and maintain the grab-and-go display, ensuring it is stocked, tidy, and presentable.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, reliable communication, and ownership of assigned shifts.
