About The Position

Working at Escuela de Guadalupe includes many different responsibilities to make a small, financially accessible school run effectively. Requirements

  • Pass criminal background check and mandatory immunizations
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Authentic support of culturally rich and linguistically diverse learning communities.
  • Open to working in a Catholic Environment and respecting the Catholic faith
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, develop effective interpersonal relationships, communicate patiently and effectively with coworkers and students
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities, manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Successful completion of CBI and FBI background check.
  • Maintain the required hours of the work day, as well as the class schedule

Responsibilities

  • Receive the school lunch delivery daily
  • Set up the delivered food in the appropriate way, hot/cold handling.
  • Serve lunch according to the grade counts and lunch time
  • Dispose of leftover food and refrigerate condiments and milks
  • Clean up kitchen and wash dishes at the end of each shift
  • Wash rags at the end of each day and disinfect at the end of the week.
  • Keep record of refrigerator temperatures on a daily basis.
  • Maintain a clean kitchen
  • Keep track of lunch supplies like plates, cutlery, napkins, etc and let the supervisor know when it’s time to reorder.
  • Maintain communication with the Front Office Coordinator to notify of any issues with the delivered food.
  • Receive trainings from state or other governing bodies related to food and health safety
  • Carry out the mission and goals of the school
  • Build positive relationships with adults and children in the school
  • Model a respect for cultural and linguistic diversity
  • Be positive about children in communication with staff, students and families
  • Maintain the required hours of the work day, as well as the class schedule
  • Truly believe that every single child has the ability to excel and work diligently to make that happen
  • Compassionate towards other employees, students, and families
