About The Position
HLA2 is part of a small group of schools run by Hebrew Public: Charter Schools for Global Citizens. We are a network of public charter schools that help children become global citizens who are great problem solvers, aware communicators, and lifelong learners who make a positive difference in the world around them. We are looking for a driven Lunch & Recess Aide to support students during lunch and recess. Aides are an integral part of the team, supporting student safety and social-emotional development.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with children required
Nice To Haves
- American Red Cross First Aid Training Certificate is a plus
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate is a plus
- Experience working with students with special needs as well as wheelchairs, lifts, ramps, and special needs adaptive equipment is a plus
Responsibilities
- Supervises student behavior while at lunch and recess, strictly enforcing behavioral expectations.
- Supports students with maintaining a clean lunch environment.
- Leads student activities during indoor and outdoor recess.
- Must be comfortable with being outside during all seasons.
- Monitors student movement from class to common areas (bathrooms, nurse) at hallway posts.
- Participate in food service training as needed.
- Other lunch duties as assigned.
