Lunch and Extended Day Staff
About The Position
The Lunch and Extended Day Staff member supports the day-to-day operations of the school campus by supervising elementary students during meals and indoor and outdoor activities. The role helps maintain a safe learning environment for energetic and motivated students. Duties include monitoring student behavior during meal service, organizing after-school activities, assisting with homework, collaborating with faculty and staff, and performing light cleanup. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:45 AM to 1:15 PM. Pay is $21.00–$23.00 per hour, with an opportunity for career advancement.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and the ability to connect with a variety of colleagues and students.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with children preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise elementary students during indoor and outdoor play, crafts, and snacks.
- Maintain a safe learning environment and provide safe supervision and care of students.
- Monitor student behavior during meal service.
- Plan and organize after-school arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities.
- Assist students with homework.
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff members.
- Perform light sweeping, wipe down tables, and remove trash.
