About The Position

The job of Lunch Aide was established for the purpose of supporting a sound nutrition program in elementary schools while following federal, state, and local guidelines. The Lunch Aide is the primary contact for students as they go through the line for lunch.

Requirements

  • Operating standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications and preparing and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for tracking items students select for kindergarten milk and lunch.
  • Monitors meal payments and communicates with parents about meal balances.
  • Prepares reports to be sent to the state for federal reimbursement.
  • Participates in training as necessary to acquire information and training for job functions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the lunchroom other than direct supervision of students.
