About The Position

The Lunch Aide is responsible for supporting a sound nutrition program in elementary schools while following federal, state, and local guidelines. This position serves as the primary contact for students as they go through the lunch line. The Lunch Aide monitors meal payments, prepares reports for federal reimbursement, and participates in necessary training. Additionally, this role performs other related duties to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the lunchroom, excluding direct student supervision.

Responsibilities

• Tracking items students select for kindergarten milk and lunch.
• Monitoring meal payments and communicating with parents about meal balances.
• Preparing reports to be sent to the state for federal reimbursement.
• Participating in training as necessary to acquire information and training for job functions.
• Performing other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the lunchroom other than direct supervision of students.
